Examination System

 SCHEME OF EXAMINATION & EVALUATION

SENIOR SECONDARY CLASSES

The School follows a Scheme of Examination for Classes XI & XII as per CBSE Guidelines. The CBSE Board will conduct an All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) at the end of Class XII, whereas Class XI Examinations shall be conducted by the school.

SECONDARY CLASSES 

  • The School follows the latest guidelines of the CBSE board for the secondary classes from the Academic Year 2017-18, for the students of Classes VI-X. The students of Class X need to appear for an All India Seconday School Examination (AISSE) conducted by the CBSE Board. The CCE pattern shall stand discontinued for the students of Classes VI-X from the Academic Year 2017-18 as per latest CBSE guidelines.
  • Appearance in assessments and examinations is compulsory.
  • 90% attendance is compulsory for students of Class VI onwards to be eligible to take the SA2 / Final examination.
  • Students of Classes XI scoring 40% and above in all subjects will only qualify for promotion to class XII.
  •  Poor performance will entail denial of promotion to further classes.
  • Grades will also be given in Co-Scholastic areas of Life Skills, Work Experience, Physical Education, General Studies, Computers, Music, Art, and Club Activities.
  • Practicals / Project work are also included for all the subjects in the curriculum from Classes VI onwards.

 


PRIMARY CLASSES

  • As per the guidelines from NES, the school year for Classes I to V will be divided into three terms:

                                Term  I   -                April to August

                                 Term II  -                September to November

                                Term III  -                December to March

  • The school has prescribed Term books for Classes I–V for the purpose of reducing the load of the school bag.
  • Students performance is graded using the under stated ‘five point scale’ formulated by  the Central Board of Secondary Education.
